This car was purchased in the Spring of 2001. I was helping a friend of mine sell the car and, after driving the vehicle around for a few days, I fell in love with it so I decided to buy it myself.
At the time I owned a 1970 Mercedes-Benz 250C. The Mercedes didn't have air-conditioning, however, and the rough Austin Summer was fast approaching, so I was thinking about getting a new vehicle. The BMW had excellent a/c but I fell in love with its ride and handling.
